To apply the tag, simply insert the hammer into the end of the tag holder. A tag is automatically attached to the hammer by the special prongs on the tag. Then simply hammer the end of the log. The tag is securely fastened to the log due to the specially designed hammer with bushings. There is no need to worry about the tag becoming detached from the log, as with stapled paper tags, because the tag has a specially designed ”barb” to ensure the tag cannot come off. The application of the log tag is a fast and simple process. The tags are stored in the tag holder and are sequentially numbered for an orderly distribution.
